Kelsie and Chris~engagement session…

Lucky me got to take Kelsie and Chris’s engagement pictures this past weekend.  She was referred to me from Kathi, who’s engagement pictures I shot last month {thank you Kathi!}  After emailing back and forth with Kelsie and hearing their story, I was excited to meet both of them and capture the love that was SO clear~even in emails!

Let me tell you….Chris raised the bar as far as proposals go (sorry Huz).  I don’t think I have ever heard of anything so creative!  So creative in fact, that it took a little while for it to sink in for Kelsie.  P.s. I didn’t figure it out either… He made up a book for her that highlighted their journey thus far.  At the end was a poem…

I will keep the details private, but the 1st letter of each line spells out….W.I.L.L.Y.O.U.M.A.R.R.Y.M.E.K.E.L.S.I.E?

LOOOOOVE IT!

We had to change the venue a few times because it was in the 80’s, not a cloud in the sky, and not a single person left inside (or so it seemed).  Yes, we live in the NW and mid 80’s is something special!  We ended up starting out at Juanita Bay Park, which has the most beautiful lush grass.  I was drooling and dreaming of traipsing through all of it, but got shot down…

But who needs tall grass?  Kelsie and Chris could have been sitting in a parking lot… The way they look at each other just melted me…

They both have the most beautiful eyes…

Kelsie loves to take pictures, so I snapped this one of her, and her blingity bling  🙂

Kelsie also loves the water, so we went over to Marsh Park, which is where I had shot pictures a few weeks ago for a test location.  The sun was still blazing, but it didn’t matter…

Yes, I love pictures from behind…I can’t help it!

I will end with these, because they are just so sweet…
