We have been insanely lucky with our gorgeous weather in Seattle lately, but…those times might be coming to an end. 🙁 I’ve been trying to think of places to do shoots when it’s raining. It seems as if it would be a little easier when it’s just a couple. However, I’ve been struggling with ideas for families… You can’t take a family with young children as easily into the library (and stay quiet), a bar, cafe, or under an underpass/bridge.
So…I thought about our train and bus stations! I went down to check them out this afternoon, and they were even better than I had thought they would be!! They were doing a renovation to the train station, so there was a lot of construction walls and signs, but still….BEAUTIFUL!!

I asked Houston to come with me during his lunch break, so I could actually have a body in the frame vs just a wall. Thanks Huz. 🙂 I LOVE The green tile!

Right outside the train station is this little park/eating area. Granted it wouldn’t work if was raining, but if there was a break, it’s really cool!

I liked that the yellow railing matched my poncho, so I got in a shot 🙂

The Union Station is just up the street, and I really wasn’t expecting as much from that location. Guess I should have googled it, because it was even better than the train station!!

Are you kidding me??!!!! And there really wasn’t anyone there!

LOOOOOOVE the floor. I put these hex tiles in the two bathrooms of my last house, and the trim is so fun!

And then there’s this cute little cafe! I swear, with every step I took, I got more excited!

Green, green, and more green. I was in heaven… 🙂

Some of my other thoughts were~
- Aquarium (may need permit for professional pics?)
- Pacific Science Center (permit needed? Also, might be too crowded depending on the day…)
- Fun little cafe/ice cream parlor
- Bookstore
- Pike Place Market
- Parking Garage?
- Go on a scavenger hunt for cool doorways with awnings!
- Antique store/mall (mainly for couples)
- Throw on some rain boots, grab some umbrellas, and just go for it!
So. Anybody have any good ideas for places to go when it’s raining??
