Katie and David | Engagement Photography

Katie and David got engaged last December, and contacted me about getting some engagement pictures taken.  They had found me through PlanningSavvy.com, so another huge thank you to Rasa and Erika!

They decided to do an extended session, which allowed for so much versatility!  I’d never met Katie and David, but before, during, and after, I kept thinking of the Elizabeth Barrett Browning poem~”How Do I Love (like :)) Thee?”  Let me count the ways…

  • They had a bunch of ideas for locations that had meaning to them…and as I read each one, I kept saying~I love that place!
  • They brought three different outfits~SO HAPPY! ( I could have kissed both of them, but that would have been weird/awkward 🙂 )
  • They were up for anything!  Seriously, within 5 minutes of saying hello, we came upon a tractor.  Should I ask?  Of course!  And they got on!
  • They were all smiles, laughter, and love.  Couldn’t ask for anything more…

We started off at the Ballard Locks.

David’s from England, so how could we not??  🙂Then we headed over to Golden Gardens.  It was a tad windy and cold.   They were total troopers!!I just LOVED how Katie’s turquoise top, porcelain skin, and red hair kept popping against every background!  I usually like more images in black and white, but not this time!  Katie…you are beautiful!A little outfit change and then over to the Shilshole docks.  David sailed growing up, and his family still does.  It was the perfect backdrop…It was really hard to pick favorites, but this is in the running!Could they be any cuter??Little break for something warm!Again…how could we not?We got some blue sky for about 2.3 seconds…Last stop~Discovery Park.David looks so devilishly handsome here!  I really can’t believe I used that phrase, but it just fits!More favorites…Again…Katie!  Beautiful…Two more favorites!I’ll end with a little blingy bling!  David picked it out all by himself, and nailed it!!  Nice work 🙂 Thank you both for such a fun afternoon!  I know you two will have a lifetime of happiness to come!
