Location scouting~Jack Block Park

I’ve been to this park before.  I had taken my stepsons there to take Father’s Day pictures.  Unfortunately, I had a short window before they got bored/crabby, so I only shot around the front of the park.  I explored some more today, and got some very nice surprises!

This first shot is just under one of the many underpasses in Seattle.  I’ve always thought it would be cool to do an entire shoot under a few of these when it’s raining.  You have to get creative when you live in Seattle!

This is the entrance to the park.  It’s down on Alki (another plug for peeps to come to West Seattle!)  🙂  I love the archway!

And how lucky was I to catch this super cool train (remember…LOVE trains!)

After you wind through all these paths, you come to a pier that looks out over Seattle.  BEAUTIFUL!

As I was walking back, I saw a road down by an industrial area.  I got back in my car and decided to see if there was anything interesting at the end of the road.  Um….STRUCK GOLD!!!  There was this gated area that was FULL of goodies.  It wasn’t locked, and there were no “private property” signs, so in I went!  I’m not really sure what this first thing is, but it was really cool!  Check out the mirror like thing at the end!

I loved all the discarded treasures laying around.  It really was hard not to take one of these with me…

A cute little shed…?  REALLY?

There were all these piles of rusted pipes and metal.  I just love that kind of thing.  Then….I saw the yellow truck (below-right hand picture) duhn duhn duhn.  I wasn’t really confident that I was supposed to be in there, so I decided to head back.  I mean, if nobody officially told me to leave, I can’t feel guilty going back right??  😉

Another wonderful day…
