Mae is One! | Cake Smash

I swear it feels like yesterday that I did Mae’s newborn session!

Honestly…it feels like yesterday that I did her brother Freddie’s 1st year pictures!

Time flies…as they say.

But, my goodness!  Mae just keeps getting cuter!

And this totally unprompted burst through her birthday balloons?  One of my favorite shots!!

The dress she’s wearing is the same dress her mom, Elise, wore when she was one!

LOVE THAT!!!But, a little outfit change into a bigger sized version of one of the outfits she wore in her newborn shoot!

Again…LOVE!

Seriously…could she be any cuter?!

AND!!  That set up in the back?  I was in heaven!

More to come in the extended family shoot that we shot before this that I’ll be posting next!

OH!  And the rocking horse cake was a replica of Elise’s 1st birthday cake!!!

I cannot tell you how happy that makes me and amazing it is that either Elise or her mom remembered!  In this day of social media and documenting everything, it would be a little easier for generations to recreate, but my mind was blown and I was SO excited that they wanted to document the similarities yet differences in the generations!

Those little toes and hands??  My favorite details to capture!

Oddly enough, I think everyone assumes 1 year olds just dive into the cake, but for the most part, they are like…

“What IS this?!”

And feeding someone else is WAY more fun!

As is getting comforted when you’re all tired out!

Thank you all yet again for letting me capture such an amazing time in your lives!

Up next…

The extended family shoot that all came together before this!
