I\u2019ve been making the trek over to Kirkland (can be up to an hour and 15 minutes in traffic to go the whopping 19 miles-ugh!) twice a week for the last 3 months to see a chiropractor about a leg\/back pain issues\u2026\u00a0 This was after seeing two orthopedic surgeons, one sports medicine Dr., one physical therapist, an acupuncturist, getting 2 x-rays and 2 MRIs\u2026\u00a0 So far, he\u2019s the only one that has actually made it feel a little better.\u00a0\u00a0 Every time I go, I always think the same thing about a few places~ \u201cHmmm, sure would like to take pictures there\u201d.\u00a0 WHY it took me 3 months to bring my camera with me, I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 Today, I finally did.\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t say these are off the beaten path (considering I saw them all from the main road), but I did find a few little goodies.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve mentioned Heritage Park to a few people that live on the Eastside, and so far, nobody knew what I was talking about.\u00a0 I then began to doubt if that was what it was really called.\u00a0 Again\u2026my only knowledge was the rubbernecking I\u2019d done as I drove down the street.\u00a0 Hope they don\u2019t pass a law against driving and rubbernecking.\u00a0 Although, probably just as dangerous as texting and driving\u2026 :{<\/p>\n

Well, the fern covers half the sign, but I promise it does say Heritage Park \ud83d\ude42\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

It has a beautiful Garden and then Heritage Hall.\u00a0 This is the Hall from behind.<\/p>\n

The Hall from the front\u2026 Then, there\u2019s a bunch of rock ledges and my favorite\u2026curvy paths!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\"\"<\/p>\n

I think this is an apartment building across the street?\u00a0 I just love the stark whiteness and of course the cool stairway!\"\"<\/p>\n

I\u2019d never seen these signs and flags before I drove through Kirkland.\u00a0 Love em\u2019!\u00a0 And\u2026I do believe they are saying that if you take<\/em> a few of these it will make<\/em> a great picture!\u00a0 Of course I\u2019d put them back\u2026\"\"<\/p>\n

Up the street a little ways are these two cool buildings.\u00a0 I have no idea what that thing on the left is, but it totally looks like a mid-evil phone booth (aforementioned goody)!\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Next, I drove to a few little parks down on the water.\u00a0 I LOVE the piers that just jut out into the water.\u00a0 The 1st ones are from David E. Brink Park<\/a>.\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

I\u2019m partial to trees (they crop up EVERYWHERE in all my traveling pics\u2026Where\u2019s Waldo?\u00a0 No\u2026where\u2019s the tree!?)\u00a0 This one is pretty even if you don\u2019t love trees.<\/p>\n

Down a few blocks is Marsh Park<\/a>.\u00a0 This has another small pier, but what I love here is the light posts!\"\"<\/p>\n

It has a fun little checker board too\u2026or, I guess it\u2019s a chess board?\"\"<\/p>\n
