{"id":1448,"date":"2010-08-16T14:08:02","date_gmt":"2010-08-16T21:08:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.laurenkahanphotography.com\/blog\/?p=1448"},"modified":"2010-08-18T19:59:25","modified_gmt":"2010-08-19T02:59:25","slug":"first-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.laurenkahanphotography.com\/blog\/first-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"First Anniversary&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Where to start&#8230;?\u00a0 My parents are going to celebrate their 40th anniversary in September.\u00a0 They generously invited my brother, his wife, Houston, and me to celebrate with them in <em>Hawaii<\/em>!\u00a0 The week that ended up working the best just happened to fall on our 1st anniversary!\u00a0 So, Houston and I went out a day before everyone else got there and had our own little celebration.<\/p>\n<p>We stayed at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.konavillage.com\/\">Kona Village Resort<\/a> for one night, and it was soooo peaceful and relaxing!\u00a0 It wasn&#8217;t like any other place I&#8217;ve stayed in Hawaii!\u00a0 You felt like you were on your own little island.\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"p3-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"H A 1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laurenkahanphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/H-A-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We had our own little hut on a pond, and the coconut was the &#8220;do not disturb&#8221; sign!\u00a0 Loved it!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"p3-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"H A 2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laurenkahanphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/H-A-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"447\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I realized that the only pics of me on this blog are ones where I commit self timer abuse.\u00a0 The Huz snapped these of me.\u00a0 I&#8217;m trying to convince him to 2nd shoot with me as needed, so I should showcase his work too\u00a0 :).\u00a0 Granted&#8230;after getting about 5 hours sleep and spending that same amount of time on a plane, I wasn&#8217;t the <em>best <\/em>subject~ha ha.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"p3-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"H A 2*\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laurenkahanphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/H-A-21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"447\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This was the beautiful pond outside of our room.\u00a0 I think I liked it even more than the ocean (which in Hawaii is blasphemy, I know!)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"p3-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"H A 3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laurenkahanphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/H-A-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"399\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There was a cool raised wooden walkway that went around a bunch of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/Travel-g29217-c56173\/Island-Of-Hawaii:Hawaii:Petroglyphs.html\">petroglyphs<\/a> that had most likely been there for hundreds of years.\u00a0 I thought these two pics were cool.\u00a0 One is what I took, and the other is what Houston took at the same time.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"p3-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"H A 4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laurenkahanphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/H-A-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"399\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And then there was food&#8230;
