I\u2019ve been struggling with what to say about this post\u2026 My good friend Rasa contacted me a few weeks ago about getting family pictures taken of her husband Jim, their daughter Sophia, and the rest of Jim\u2019s family.\u00a0 Unfortunately, it wasn\u2019t just going to be about getting holiday card pictures.\u00a0 The family had just found out that Jim\u2019s dad had been diagnosed with cancer, and they thought that was the perfect reason to all get together to have some family shots taken.\u00a0 My heart broke when I read the email, and I knew how special this session was going to be.\u00a0 It was a powerful reminder on how important family is, and how the time we get to spend with them should never be taken for granted.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve known Jim and Rasa for 12+ years, and we have had many, many, many fun times together.\u00a0 My goal was to capture Jim\u2019s family as the happy, fun, loving family they are, and I think we accomplished that\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 We met up on Saturday at the Edmonds Library<\/a>.\u00a0 I had NO idea how beautiful it was there, but they have this amazing garden around the library.<\/p>\n

I will just say that when there are smaller children involved, they are usually the ones that dictate where\/when\/how the pictures are going to go.\u00a0 It started off a little<\/em> rocky when both Sophia and Mia decided that pictures were NOT a good idea.\u00a0 I felt a little like the bad aunt who enables the bad behavior by taking these first two, but c\u2019mon\u2026.pretty cute huh?<\/p>\n

So, we decided to show them just how fun taking pictures could be!\u00a0 So sweet\u2026<\/p>\n

There may have been a suggestion to grab the person\u2019s behind that was next to you\u2026 It looks like Jim is the only one that took me up on it\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 Sorry Michele!<\/p>\n

Zoe was such a sweetie.\u00a0 Her eyes are the most AMAZING green.\u00a0 She is going to break a few boys hearts when she grows up!<\/p>\n

Well, thankfully the pouting didn\u2019t last long.\u00a0 Are you kidding me with these next two???!\u00a0 A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!!<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Matt is so cute with Mia and Zoe\u2026<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It also just happened to be Rasa and Jim\u2019s 6 year anniversary.\u00a0 I cannot believe how fast time flies.\u00a0 Happy Anniversary to you both!!<\/p>\n

Sophia\u2019s pouting didn\u2019t last long either!<\/p>\n

Love this one\u2026<\/p>\n

The men just watching the girls dance and play.\u00a0 Again\u2026was there EVER pouting??\u00a0 Hard to believe!<\/p>\n

I will end with these three, because they are just so sweet\u2026<\/p>\n
